Let's start with some basics regarding the construction.

1) Manufactured by JUKI at a JUKI owned and operated plant for home sewing machines and sergers.
JUKI Industrial standards are maintained in all of JUKI's manufacturing facilities.

2) Cast aluminum housing. Strength and durability by design.

3) Removable plastic lower housing for access, facilitate easier servicing when needed.

4) Power and synchronization are provided via brushless DC motor for power (torque) and durability and cog belts (avoids belt stretch and slipping related issues and improves control)

5) All shafts supported in bearings mounted or incorporated into the cast aluminum frame.

7) Electronics mounted in plastic housing. (Reduces vibration and static charge from being mounted to metal where moving metal parts create friction)
